Best price I could find for this unit anywhere. Fit and finish are both excellent, although not identical to the factory part.
Notes:
Unit came with the standard halogen headlight bulb installed, but not the running light/turn signal bulb. The unit is not advertised as including any bulbs at all so I consider that a bonus, especially since a new bulb alone (retail) costs almost a third of what this entire unit did.
You will want to install the turn-signal bulb before installing the unit in your vehicle. DO NOT REMOVE THE SCREW ABOVE THE TURN-SIGNAL BULB SOCKET ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT. This screw does not hold the bulb socket, it holds the reflector in the housing. Removing the screw could compromise the seal, resulting in eventual failure of the unit caused by condensation accumulating inside the housing. To remove the bulb socket, twist it about 45 degrees counterclockwise (looking at the back of the unit) to release its locking tabs, then pull it straight out of the back of the unit.
Unit does *NOT* include the three nuts and one bolt required to attach it to the vehicle. Make sure you retain those parts when removing the unit you are replacing. However, these parts are common sizes and threads so finding replacements for them, if necessary, should not be difficult.
Be extra super-careful when installing the bolt through the strap on top of the unit. You’re tightening a steel bolt onto a plastic part, so “snug” should be the operative term. This strap provides the *only* support for the front of the unit. If you break this piece, it will not be very long before the other mounting points break due to vibration, leaving nothing but the wiring harness to keep the entire unit from falling out completely. (That’s what happened to the original factory part on my vehicle!)
